Steak Cheddar Potato Slow Cooker (Print)

Tender beef and potatoes slow-cooked until perfect, then topped with melty cheddar cheese for a comforting one-pot meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat

01 - 680 g beef stew meat or sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

→ Vegetables

02 - 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
03 - 1 onion, diced
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced

→ Liquids & Oils

05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
06 - 240 ml beef broth
07 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

→ Seasonings

08 - Salt to taste
09 - Black pepper to taste
10 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
11 - 1 teaspoon paprika

→ Dairy

12 - 150 g shredded cheddar cheese

→ Garnish

13 - Fresh parsley or thyme, chopped

# Directions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season beef with salt and black pepper. Sear beef on all sides for 3-4 minutes until browned. Transfer seared beef to the slow cooker.
02 - Add diced potatoes, onion, and minced garlic to the slow cooker with the browned beef. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle dried thyme and paprika over the mixture and stir to combine.
03 - Cover with lid and cook on low setting for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until beef becomes tender and potatoes are soft.
04 - About 15 minutes before serving, evenly distribute shredded cheddar cheese on top. Cover and allow cheese to fully melt.
05 - Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or thyme. Serve hot.

01 - For best results, choose waxy potatoes that hold their shape during slow cooking.
