Sticky Sweet Chili Chicken Thighs (Print)

Caramelized chicken thighs glazed with sweet chili sauce, soy and sesame oil. Crispy, sticky and ready in under 30 minutes.

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken

01 - 8 bone-in chicken thighs
02 - 1 tablespoon avocado oil
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ½ teaspoon salt
05 - ½ teaspoon pepper

→ Sticky Glaze

06 - ½ cup sweet chili sauce
07 - 3 tablespoons soy sauce
08 - 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
09 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel to ensure a crispy skin.
02 - Season the chicken thighs with avocado oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
03 - Air fry the chicken skin side down at 375°F for 15 minutes.
04 - In a small bowl, mix together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and oyster sauce.
05 - Baste the chicken at least 3 times with the sticky sauce during cooking to create a caramelized coating.
06 - Continue cooking for an additional 10 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
07 - For an extra crispy finish, broil for the last 2-3 minutes. Monitor closely to prevent burning and ensure the skin becomes beautifully caramelized.
08 - Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
09 - Serve over a bed of jasmine rice or with your favorite vegetable side dishes.

# Notes:

01 - This recipe can also be prepared in a conventional oven if an air fryer is not available.
