Tater Tot Hamburger Casserole (Print)

Hearty tater tot casserole with ground beef, green beans, and creamy sauce. Easy, satisfying dish for all.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - 1 can green beans, 15 oz, drained
03 - 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 10.5 oz
04 - ½ cup milk
05 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
06 - 1 bag frozen Tater Tots, 32 oz
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
09 - salt, to taste
10 - black pepper, to taste

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease.
03 - In a mixing bowl, combine the browned beef, drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until evenly mixed.
04 - Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange a single layer of frozen Tater Tots on the bottom. Spread half of the beef mixture over the Tater Tots and sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.
05 - Add a second layer of Tater Tots, then top with the remaining beef mixture and the remaining cheddar cheese.
06 - Bake uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the Tater Tots are crisp and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
07 - Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before scooping and serving.

# Notes:

01 - Season the beef well while browning for extra flavor and taste the filling before assembling.
02 - For a crispier topping, broil for 2 to 3 minutes at the end of baking, watching closely.
03 - Swap cheddar for Colby Jack or a cheddar blend for a different flavor.
04 - Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes to set up, making it easier to serve.
05 - Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to keep the Tater Tots crisp.
