Ultimate Beef with Cheddar (Print)

Warm beef and cheddar sandwich packed with flavor atop crispy onion buns.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 aromatic onion buns

→ Main ingredients

02 - 1 lb (450 g) premium thin deli roast beef

→ Cheese

03 - 1 cup (240 ml) silky cheddar cheese sauce

→ Broth

04 - 1/2 cup (120 ml) rich beef broth or au jus

→ Seasoning

05 - 2 tablespoons (30 g) salted butter
06 - 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) cracked black pepper

# Directions:

01 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter until it shimmers. Place the onion buns face down and toast for 2 minutes until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
02 - Pour the beef broth into the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium, and bring it to a simmer.
03 - Place the deli roast beef into the simmering broth. Season with cracked black pepper and heat for 3 minutes until warmed through.
04 - In a separate small pan, whisk the cheddar cheese sauce over low heat for 1 minute until smooth and bubbling.
05 - Remove the beef from the broth using tongs, letting the excess liquid drip off. Layer the roast beef onto the toasted onion buns and generously drizzle with the warm cheese sauce.
