Warm Baked Apple Fritters (Print)

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1/4 cup sugar
03 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
05 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
06 - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
07 - 1/2 cup milk
08 - 2 large eggs
09 - 1 teaspoon vanilla
10 - 2 tablespoons melted butter
11 - 1 1/2 cups diced apples

→ Glaze

12 - 1 cup powdered sugar
13 - 2-3 tablespoons milk
14 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

# Directions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk until well blended.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.
04 - Add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring gently until just mixed. Fold in the diced apples.
05 - Using a spoon, drop mounds of batter onto the baking sheet, shaping each into small rounds.
06 - Bake the fritters for 15-18 minutes, until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
07 - While baking, make the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth.
08 - Once cool, drizzle or dip the fritters in glaze. Let the glaze set before serving.
