Winter Berry White Chocolate (Print)

A cozy blend of white chocolate and bright winter berries for comforting warmth.

# Ingredients:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - 6 oz white chocolate, finely chopped or 1 cup white chocolate chips
02 - 3 cups whole milk or 2%/plant-based milk for lighter option
03 - 1/2 cup heavy cream for extra richness (optional)
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - Pinch of salt to balance sweetness

→ Berry Compote

06 - 1 1/2 cups mixed berries (frozen or fresh; raspberries, strawberries, blackberries)
07 - 2–3 tablespoons sugar or honey for sweetness
08 - 1–2 teaspoons lemon juice to brighten berry flavors

→ Optional Toppings

09 - Ground cardamom, cinnamon, or nutmeg
10 - Whipped cream
11 - Extra berries for garnish

# Directions:

01 - In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the mixed berries, sugar or honey, and lemon juice. Cook until the berries soften and release their juices, stirring occasionally for 5–7 minutes. Set aside.
02 - In a medium saucepan, heat the milk and heavy cream (if using) over medium-low heat until warm but not boiling. Stir frequently to prevent scorching.
03 - Reduce the heat to low and add the white chocolate, stirring continuously until fully melted and smooth. Add the vanilla extract and salt, mixing well.
04 - Pour the hot white chocolate mixture into serving cups. Swirl in the prepared berry compote and gently mix.
05 - Top with whipped cream, extra berries, or a light dusting of ground spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, or nutmeg if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For a smoother compote, mash or blend the berries slightly before serving.
