Zebra Cookies Chocolate Swirls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Base

01 - 2½ cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
03 - 1 cup granulated sugar
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
06 - ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
07 - ½ tsp salt
08 - 1 tsp baking powder

# Instructions:

01 - Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
02 - Separate the dough into two equal portions. Leave one plain and mix the unsweetened cocoa powder into the other portion.
03 - Alternate placing small portions of vanilla and chocolate dough in a baking pan. Use a toothpick or skewer to swirl the layers and create a zebra pattern.
04 - Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading during baking.
05 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
