Buttery cookies with festive sprinkles—a holiday favorite.

# Ingredients:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
03 - ½ teaspoon baking powder
04 - ½ teaspoon salt

→ Wet Ingredients

05 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
06 - 1 ½ cups white sugar
07 - 1 egg
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
09 - ½ teaspoon almond extract

→ Decorations

10 - ½ cup festive sprinkles (red, green, and white)

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
02 - In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
03 - In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and white sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
04 - Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until fully combined.
05 - Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
06 - Gently fold in the festive sprinkles with a spatula until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
07 - Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on ungreased baking sheets approximately 2 inches apart.
08 - Flatten each cookie ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or your palm to create a thicker, round cookie shape.
09 - Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers remain soft.
10 - Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

# Notes:

01 - Do not overmix the cookie dough to maintain a tender texture.
02 - Ensure sprinkles are evenly distributed for a uniform festive appearance.
