Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Roll-Ups

01 - 6 slices of sandwich bread, crusts removed
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
03 - ¼ cup granulated sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

→ French Toast Batter

05 - 2 large eggs
06 - ¼ cup milk
07 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Topping

08 - 1 tablespoon butter for frying
09 - ¼ cup granulated sugar + 1 teaspoon cinnamon, mixed
10 - Maple syrup or cream cheese glaze, for drizzling

# Instructions:

01 - Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin or the back of a spoon. Spread softened butter evenly over each slice.
02 - In a small bowl, mix ¼ cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the buttered bread. Roll each slice tightly into a log, pressing slightly to seal.
03 - In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
04 - Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, coating evenly but not soaking. Place in the pan and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, turning until golden brown and crispy.
05 - While still warm, roll in extra cinnamon sugar for that classic cinnamon roll taste! Serve immediately with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or a cream cheese glaze.

# Notes:

01 - Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
02 - Reheat in a skillet for 2 minutes or microwave for 30 seconds.
03 - Freeze uncooked rolls. Cook straight from frozen by adding an extra 2 minutes to the frying time.
