Hot Apple Buttered Rum (Print)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 oz apple cider
02 - 2 oz dark spiced rum
03 - 1 tbsp apple butter
04 - 1.5 tbsp brown sugar
05 - 1 tsp unsalted butter, softened
06 - Apple slices, optional for garnish
07 - Cinnamon sticks, optional for garnish

# Directions:

01 - In a medium saucepan, whisk together the apple cider, unsalted butter, apple butter, and brown sugar.
02 - Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, whisking continuously for 1 minute.
03 - Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the dark spiced rum.
04 - If preferred, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove any solids.
05 - Pour the hot buttered rum into a mug, garnish with dried apple slices and a cinnamon stick if desired, and serve warm.
