Peanut Butter Balls Rice Krispies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy).
02 - ΒΌ cup butter softened.
03 - 1 cup powdered sugar.
04 - 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal slightly crushed.
05 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.
06 - 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening.

# Instructions:

01 - Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together peanut butter, butter, and powdered sugar. Stir in cereal until well combined.
03 - Shape into balls, place on a cookie sheet, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
04 - In a large microwave-safe bowl, add chocolate chips and shortening. Heat for 1 minute and stir, then continue heating for 20-30 seconds and stirring after each interval until chocolate is almost melted. Stir until completely smooth.
05 - Dip balls into chocolate and place on a cookie sheet until firm.
06 - Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for several days or in the freezer for several weeks.

# Notes:

01 - Can use either creamy or crunchy peanut butter.
02 - Can be frozen for several weeks.
